LiD Coach terms of use

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This is a translation; the German version is legally binding.

1. Scope

These terms apply to the LiD Coach iPhone app by Gurwinder Singh (see legal notice). Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies.

2. Not an official app

LiD Coach is a private learning product. It is not affiliated with, commissioned or endorsed by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), any naturalisation authority or any other government body. State coats of arms are shown only to identify your chosen federal state.

3. Content

The exam questions come from the BAMF’s publicly available official question catalogue for the “Leben in Deutschland” / citizenship test (version shown in the app). Translations, transliteration, explanations and learning aids are my own additions. Some translations are machine-made and may contain errors. Only the original German text is authoritative. Check current information on the test and naturalisation with the competent authorities.

4. No pass guarantee, no legal advice

The app helps you practise. Passing the test or any particular result is not guaranteed; readiness scores and predictions are estimates. The app is not legal or naturalisation advice.

5. Ads and “Remove ads”

The app is free and funded by ads (see the privacy policy). The one-time in-app purchase “Remove ads” hides ads permanently; the price is shown in the App Store. Apple handles purchase, restoring and refunds. No other features come with the purchase.

6. Liability

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slightly negligent breach of essential obligations, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. Your statutory warranty rights for the in-app purchase are not affected.

7. Changes and governing law

I may develop the app further, adjust content or discontinue features. German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence are not affected.
